Windows 10 allows you to view Chromium-based Microsoft Edge in full-screen mode. So I will be showing you how to both enter and exit this mode in Windows 10.
In full-screen mode, tabs are hidden such as the Favourites bar and Address bar. When in full mode, none of the windows control are visible, so it will really be a good idea to know how the full-screen mode works.
Enabling and Disabling Full-Screen Mode in Microsoft Edge
There are several ways to enter and exit from full-screen mode, which are as follows:
- Use the Zoom Menu in Edge
1. Launch the Edge browser
2. Click on the Settings and More option, which is located at the upper right-hand side of the browser window. It is a three horizontal dot, when clicked, it opens a drop-down menu.
3. Hover your mouse over the Zoom option and click the full screen icon that looks like a two-headed diagonal arrow.
4. To disable the full-screen mode, you will move to the top of the screen and click on Settings and More, then select the full-screen icon again.
- Use of Windows + Shift + Enter Key Combination
Windows + Shift + Enter Key also puts Microsoft Edge in full-screen mode. The steps are as follows:
1. Launch the Edge browser
2. Then press and hold down the Windows and Shift keys and then press the Enter button.
3. Release all Keys.
4. Also repeat the combination to exit from the full-screen mode.
- Use of F11 key
1. Once the Edge browser is open, press the F11 key to enter the full-screen mode and you can also press the F11 key to exit.
In summary, you can enter and exit full-screen mode when the Edge browser is launched:
- Press Win+Shift+Enter to activate full-screen mode and Use F11 to Exit.
- Press F11 key to enter full-screen mode and click the full-screen mode icon at the top of the window to exit.
- Press F11 to enter and also press and hold Win+Shift+Enter to exit.
- Click the Settings and More menu and click on the full-screen icon to enter and press Win+Shift+Enter to exit.
