What is VGA?
VGA (Visual
Graphics Array) is used as video display controller. It is used for
high-definition video. VGA is a type of hardware specification which makes it
possible for a computer to display applications on VGA-based monitor.
What is DVI?
DVI (Digital
Visual Interface) it is similar to VGA. DVI is used exclusively with digital
devices and it is more modern and designed to allow computers display
applications on monitor.
How to Convert Between DVI and VGA
Basically,
there are two various ways of converting from DVI to VGA.
- Using a cable that does the
conversion for you. It has a VGA connector on one end and a DVI connector on
the other end. All you need to do is to plug one end into the DVI port and the
other end into the VGA port and everything will work very fine.
- The second way is the use of a
simple Adapter. There are numerous small adapter that has DVI connection on
one end and VGA connection on the other. All you need to do is to select either
DVI or VGA connection, depending on the one you need on your device. So use it
to replace the port in your device.

cables / adapters in electronic shops around you or anywhere online that sells
electronics. All you need to do is to look for the one that matches or compatible
with you device.
